i would like talk about an American actor from the late 50 to 60 ,Sal Mineo,best know for his performance in the film "rebel without a cause" 1955 alongside with James Dean.
In 1976 Mineo was stabbed to death in the alley behind his apartment building.
He was just 37 years old,the blade struck his heart.
Mineo posed as model for a 29 foot long by 8foot high
portrait on several panels called "The new Adam"
painted by Harold stevenson
the painting is currently part of the Guggenheim Museum collection
and is considered one of the great American nudes.
