That might put Cisco in its place, being that the 'i'Mac was introduced on May 6, of 1996.
Actually, it was 1998 (http://www.apple-history.com/?page=gallery&model=imac&performa=off&sort=date&order=ASC)
Even then, one could argue that Apple forfeited the right to all "i-products" when it didn't sue Compaq for the iPaq....

What kind of ports are used for each graphic card and it's corresponding monitor, ie, DVI-to-DVI, etc.? Have you tried different video cables?

Like someone else said, it's likely that it'll only be exclusive's that show a major difference - and in that case, it comes down to not so much what power is there, as to how it's used. Take two exclusive's to the 360 for example. Dead or Alive 4 - goregous graphics, very high detail and not much on screen at once. Dead Rising - realistically prev gen graphics, but done en-mass, using the consoles capabilities to produce hoards and hoards of zombies.
I think that makes sense anyway.

I have a Dell laptop now with a 30gb drive and have barely 5gb filled. I don't think having a 40gb in my iBook will be a big problem.
My iBook's 37GB (40GB before format) fills up really quick.
OSX Tiger alone takes up approximately 10GB unless you do a custom install and leave off the language packs and printer drivers.
An external drive would be nice because I would like to share files between computers.
Internal drives can also share files between computers.

Howdy. I have a Logitech G5, Logitech G9, and Razer Lachesis. I love 'em all but none has a Mac driver. :(
Do you use a laser mouse? If so, which do you use?
(I don't game, but the higher sensitivity works nicely for larger screen resolutions and some graphic design)
Thx!
I use a Apple Magic Mouse.. which is a laser mouse, and works fantastically (as youd expect) with Mac OS X.

I recently saw a pc with OSX running on it. And that's neat. I'm mainly a Windows user but I've remained respectful to Apple hardware but I can't stand OSX. It's stable and it's easy to use but I much rather prefer the unrestricted control a knowledgeable user can have over Windows. Thus leads me to my question;
Has anyone gotten or heard of anyone getting Windows to run on a Mac without an excruciatingly slow emulator? Is there any chance of this happening in the future?
In the future it can be done with virtualisation

If so, I don't think you are looking in the right place or the right tool.
Sell online using PayPal? Check out their supported hosts.
I am a Yahoo store developer and am partial to that platform for small business. That is probably out of your price range.

True... unfortunately, I'm not sure what's possible, so I don't really know!
I should imagine the G5 could act as some kind of central storage for the other Macs for iTunes, Photographs etc - but that's just some kind of glorified NAS box. I'm just curious at this point really, how else could it be used?

I have already tried moving files in and out of FileVault and creating empty disk images and deleting them but nothing has brought the optimization dialog back when I log out.
I do have a backup of my data (it's about two weeks old). It's on an external harddrive in Iceland (I'm on vacation in Germany now) and just a mirror of the disk before I turned FileVault on. I do not want to lose all the changes I made during the last two weeks, though - and I also can't clear the external harddrive for a new backup, since I had to delete many huge files on the Powerbook in order to turn FileVault on in the first place.
I also had to move my entire iTunes folder to my iPod - leaving me all without music (I deleted it on my Mac and cleaned my iPod before I manually copied the Music folder). I copied a few songs back from my iPod to my PB, though.
I hate FileVault.

I have a degree in English from the University of Massachusetts and could provide you with some copy editing service when needed (which you presently need).
E-Mail #2:
Meanwhile, you might want to take the extra "s" out of "sunrises".

The first thing you need to confirm is that the logo is indeed in vector form when you open it in Illustrator and not just a bounding box indicating pixel-based art.
Toggle the keyboard shortcut Command + Y or go to the pulldown menu View > Outline (or alternatively Preview) to view your art in both modes.
If you have actual vector art, then check the following...
• Pulldown menu Window > Layers - are there any locked layers?
• Pulldown menu Object - is Unlock All in black? That would indicate an object has been locked.
Those would be two things to check.
I've checked these things that you've mentioned, but the problem is that I just can't find an option to cut a piece out of the logo. Here is an example (imagine it as a nicely designed logo):
''MacRumors: Forums
mac community discussion forums''
Just imagine the text to be in a nice logo with different colors and stuff. What I want to do is to cut only the part ''MacRumors: Forums'' out of it so that I can use it separately. I know that Photoshop can do it, but the problem with Photoshop is that it converts .EPS (vector) files to a pixel image and I need to scale it up in Illustrator afterwards so this isn't an option for me. Illustrator just doesn't seem to have a simple scissor/cut tool to cut out parts of a placed image, or am I totally missing something?
Anyway: thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the advice. I did open my 60gb and it feels great to be able to fit everything on it again and backup my full-size photos. I didn't necessarily want a video-iPod but I thought they may just update battery life, functions, design, etc. Here's to at least a few months of no iPod updates since I just bought a new one :)
I wish you all the best. Sounds as though you made a wise decision.

This is not true. the ICE works with several after-market brands like Sony, Kenwood, Alpine, etc. If you had one of these in your car, and got a new one, you would merely have to move the radio to the new car.
True, but the problem I have is then my steering wheel controls would not work unless I go out and spend another $200 on a solution for that too, plus the cost of an aftermarket stereo. Gets really expensive really quick.
It probably is a little more complicated than just swapping out the cable, I bet the controller unit on the ICE-Link is programmed specifically for the car's factory head unit. Maybe the Monster one will be a little more flexible.

So would it be accurate to say that if the CD-ROM was authored with Flash as an executable then it would be harder to extract individual assets (i.e., videos, images & PDFs)? But then again, what would prevent the infringer from just copying over the whole disc? Right?
Thanks to all for your replies. You guys are awesome! You have helped clear things up in my mind.

Clearly ISO (a measure of film sensitivity), although conceptually similar, is a bit of a misnomer when it comes to digital. Wouldn't a more appropriate term be something like "Gain Factor"?
I would think this would be an easier concept to grasp for newcomers to DSLRs, especially when trying to understand the trade-off between gain and noise.
How can you tell I'm bored today... :)
Actually, the term ISO is just short for the organization that provides standards on film speed (and before it was ISO, it was ASA.) I don't see what value trying to rename it has- you still have to know what that is, and how it applies, and since you can assign that information to the term ISO and not break every photographic instruction ever made or make the remaining film cameras suddenly "different" than digital, I don't see a big gain (pun intended) in going from a three letter abbreviation to a word.
