I got a refund for Aperture when my nephew accidentally bought it whilst playing on my Mac. Strangely enough, I can still use the App, (even though I don't as I prefer iPhoto), I though Apple would have the power to remove stuff off your purchases list so you could no longer use it.

Only took two songs to convince me.... I immediately downloaded everything Katie Melua has available on iTunes and am enjoying her beautiful voice even as I type.... I wish her new album were on iTunes, too, but I can check the local music stores next time I'm there and pick up the actual CD.

I agree a PM is more suitable and reckon I'll buy one within 12 months but as a cheaper alternative the Mini makes a great stop-gap.
You don't have to go straight from a mini to a PM. What about an iMac if you need more power? :)

Yes for each inbox you have, select it and issue form the menu Mailbox->Rebuild

17 form factor is killer. People always tell me it is to big....Cool don't get one. I used it easily for travel to Europe and on the road. No problem. The new one with better graphics card and 30% faste CPU thne mine is looking pretty desirable...Might hold out for dual core on the 12th of never.LOL

Oracle has long dumped Oracle for OSX, so I'm not hopeful that Oracle Java 7 will ever see the light of day on Macs.

No Java - No OpenOffice and a load of other apps on OSX.

That's what I was afraid of... :( Everything's good as far as Win reports. Device Manager is clearn. I'm sure the 11 and the 13 have same audio drivers - just can't figure out why it worked for the first few reboots, but discovered the problem after all updates and service packs were installed.
For the reinstall process, should I kill the current Win partition and really start from scratch? Or just reinstall from the 'advanced recovery method' menu?

If it is your first, then buy either the base 21.5" or ultimate 27". From what I have been reading here, those two are the best so far since the base model of the 21.5" is such a large upgrade from any of the previous models. Since you aren't going to do anything crazy like many of us, you'll be pleasantly surprised with an iMac.

The 27" ACD works absolutely fine with the Apple OEM 5770 upgrade card with MDP, also with the 5870. After all, why would Apple sell these graphic cards if they didn't work with their only display? Further, my 5870 and 27" ACD get along like a house on fire. Note that you have to buy the Apple cards, not just a standard PC card like you seem to be implying
The first generation of ATI 5-series cards for PC didn't actually didn't follow the DisplayPort port specifications properly, and do have compatability issues with Apple products. That being said, your absolutely right peskaa, the issues were fixed with Apple OEM cards (but ppl who want to throw in any PC card just beware the 5- series cards are hit and miss on compatibility).

I suppose if you buy a lot of PSN games the huge console price increase from US to UK doesn't seem as bad.
How is the Lemmings game? Is it actually Lemmings at 3*6 pixels small or the **** stains on the PSP one? Can you use a mouse? Is it a 'best of' or a port of a previous Lemmings?

Only difference I can see is that the 12"pb now has a shipping date of 2 days whereas yesterday, like all the other size models it was 24 hours.

so, since you own it how do you feel about it? What was the last mouse you used and how does it compare? What is your honest opinion about its battery life and tracking ability? What mouse pad are you using if its something other than your normal average joe mousepad. I was thinking about getting this mousepad (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/accessories/6adc/) if it'll make a difference. Just lemme know...

Might want to try G.E.M.M. The biggest selection "on the Planet." Haven't purchased cds from them but have purchased numerous vinyl and the grading condition is spot on.
