The Champ is a 1979 remake, directed by Franco Zeffirelli, of the 1931 Academy Award-winning film of the same name which was directed by King Vidor. It stars Jon Voight, Faye Dunaway, and Ricky Schroder.
Critically, the film was less successful than its 1931 predecessor; but more successful at the box office
Schroder won the Golden Globe Award for "Best New Male Star of the Year in a Motion Picture" at age nine for his performance as T.J. Flynn.

I just watched this old movie with my dad ,well we burst into tears like  babies .
This movie really moved me so much,so thanks Franco Zeffirelli for making me and my dad  to feel closer to each other .We shared  really a  great moment  today.
